  3. I realize that this is a dirty trick, but, I am going to do it anyway. I
  4. am taking SCSI Accelerator out of the public domain.

  6. I have modified the SCSI Accelerator 1.5 file that I produced so very long
  7. ago (early 1988), to work with System 7.0.  I would be glad to get it out
  8. to those of you who need it.  Just send me a disk and a self addressed
  9. stamped envelope and $5.00 and I will send it right out to you. If you are
  10. not satisfied for any reason I will gladly return your money. (Please in-
  11. clude a discription of your system for my records)

  17. I'm sure that you have by now seen another version of the SCSI Accelerator
  18. with a version of 2.10.  This version was a modified version of my original
  19. SCSI Accelerator 1.0 which was only compatible with System version 4.2. Mr.
  20. Dolf Starreveld of Amsterdam made some interesting changes to the original 
  21. program although he neglected to mention who he got the SCSI Accelerator
  22. from in the first place.  Never the less his changes were valid and useful
  23. for some of those drives that did not work with the original program. (One
  24. of the changes was to make it compatible with System 6.0)
  25.  
  26. If you have been using either SCSI Accelerator 1.5 or SCSI-Accel-r0w0s6
  27. sucessfully then SCSI Accelerator 7.0 will work for you with Systems 4.2,
  28. 6.0 or 7.0.  If you have been using one of the other versions of SCSI
  29. Accel 2.10, I will be glad to set up a version of my SCSI Accelerator 7.0
  30. that will duplicate the one that you are using.  I will need to work with
  31. you directly to make sure that the modified versions work as needed and I
  32. will not accept any money until I am assured that the SCSI Accelerator is
  33. working properly and you are satisfied.

  37. As I did with my earlier versions, I am enclosing my telephone number and
  38. sincerely hope that you all will not hesitate to use it.  Even if you just
  39. want to verbally abuse me for not putting the SCSI Accelerator 7.0 into the
  40. public domain. I can be reached most every evening until 10:00 PM or so
  41. central time. You can take a chance at catching me at home during the day.
  42. I truly enjoyed talking to many many people over the past few years about
  43. the SCSI Accelerator or just Mac's in general. Some of you I have helped,
  44. some I have been unable to help, but a friend was made just the same.

  47. use of the previous versions of SCSI Accelerator. Those people need not
  48. send any more money.

  55. P.S. I have attained approximately 385K bytes/sec transfer rate on my
  56. Plus with an old NEC drive attached to a OMTI 3127 controller board.
  57. If this old junker will go that fast, just think of what a fancy new
  58. SCSI Drive will do!
